1. Drain oil using controller drain function. Disconnect power at breaker or remove control box fuse.

2. Remove back panel screws (4 per side) and tilt housing screws (2 per side). Lift housing straight up.

3. Locate probe wires (red/yellow and white). Note connector positions before removal.

4. Disconnect 12-pin connector C-6. Use pin-pusher to extract probe pins from connector.

5. Remove probe bracket securing screws and metal tie wraps. Detach ground clip from shield.

6. Carefully extract probe and grommet assembly through element tube opening.

7. Insert new probe (wires first) through tube assembly. Ensure grommet seats properly.

8. Secure probe with original bracket and new metal tie wraps from replacement kit.

9. Route wires following element leads through cable bushings. Reattach ground clip to shield.

10. Insert probe leads into C-6 connector: Full-vat units use pins 3 (red) & 4 (white), Dual-left uses pins 9 & 10.

11. Secure all wires with ties. Test element rotation to ensure no wire interference or pinching.

12. Reinstall tilt housing and back panels. Reconnect power supply and verify probe operation before returning to service.
